Circo chairs (4)

Herbert Ohl

Designed in the early 1980s by German architect Herbert Ohl in collaboration with Jutta Ohl, the Circo chair was produced by Lübke and stands out as a refined example of postmodern design. Characterized by its elegant lines, light construction, and subtle engineering, the chair is crafted from high-density beech plywood. Its most distinctive feature is a semi-circular backrest composed of slim, curved slats that lend both visual lightness and ergonomic support. The frame rests on four cylindrical legs, reinforced by horizontal stretchers that ensure durability without sacrificing the chair’s airy aesthetic.
